The aroma presents complex, yet pristine notes of grapefruit, citrus blossom and white peach, with a touch of struck match character. The palate also shows pear, green apple and minerality, with mouth-watering, seamless acid. On the whole it is powerful and driven, but also elegant and restrained at the same time, finishing through to a long length.
The winemaking is kept very simple in order to express the terroir of this special Maragle vineyard. The fruit is handpicked and whole bunch pressed directly to French oak without settling. The juice is then simply fermented and matured in barrel without interferences, besides a bit of battonage for 12 months.
