The Long Road Chardonnay is carefully selected from vineyards in Tumbarumba from both the Courabyra and Maragle subregions. These two sub-regions differ in altitude by nearly 300 meters and subsequently contribute to the wine in different ways. The Maragle fruit at 405 meters above sea level provides texture and intensity to the wine, whilst the fruit from Courabyra sits at 730 meters above sea level and provides minerality and structure.
The juice for this wine was not settled. Subsequently, it has fermented on full solids in 300-litre French oak hogshead casks. The wine was matured for 11 months prior to bottling.
