The 2012 vintage was incredible for Chardonnay in Tumbarumba. Whilst being very challenging there was the perfect balance between sunlight heat and cool night temperatures, that has resulted in producing a Chardonnay that bears all the hallmarks of great high country Chardonnay. The fruit was sourced from two vineyards, one at Maragle at 450 meters above sea level and the other at Courabyra at 750 meters above sea level.
The fruit was gently pressed directly to French oak barriques (10% new) without settling and matured for 12 months on gross lees prior to racking and bottling.
