2016 The Long Road Chardonnay
A perfect vintage across all regions and varieties, long even-ripening conditions produced beautiful fruity and structural wines for our Long Road labels, with excellent flavours and natural acidity.
Delightfully lifted nose, showing white flowers and orange blossom with hints of almonds and nutmeg.
Classic Tumbarumba-acidity which is propped up by the use of select French oak, leading to some spice on a rich and full palate. Long lean natural acidity.
Whole bunch-pressed directly to a selection of French oak barriques and stainless steel tank. Alcoholic fermentation with a selected yeast. 12 months in barrels on full lees and in stainless steel tank on fine lees with a select portion allowed to go through partial malolactic fermentation. The wine was then fined, cold stabilized and sterile filtered before bottling.
