2013 ER 94 Block Syrah
Estate grown fruit from our 94 block in Murrumbateman, planted in 1994.
Considered one of the best vintages ever. Perfect ripening conditions, often referred to as the "Goldilocks Vintage", not too hot or too cold.
Bright, spicy and aromatic, all the hallmarks of great Canberra Syrah. The tannins are present and almost gravelly and provide beautiful structure and length to the wine.
100% de-stemmed, fermented with natural yeast, and pressed after 12 days on skins. The wine was transferred to 500 litre puncheons for a period of 14 months maturation, blended and then bottled.
Cellaring potential - 10 years
