2019 Canberra Malbec
A warmer and drier than usual vintage which produced wines with concentration and intensity of flavours.
Dark red colour with purple hues. Rich blackberry and black olive aromas. The palate is meaty with a high concentration of silky tannins. It is a complex and textural wine with a long savoury finish and a perfect acidity.
All the grapes were de-stemmed and fermented as whole berries. The grapes were plunged in open fermenters twice a day to gently extract colour, tannins and flavours. They were lightly pressed at the end of fermentation directly into 1 to 3 year old French barriques and aged for a period of 8 months. The wine wasn't fined but coarse filtered. Vegan friendly.
