2022 Canberra Malbec

Medium red colour with purple hues. Violet, black pepper aromas followed by raspberry flavours. The palate is delicate with raspberry notes, smooth tannins, and a perfect natural acidity. The finish is long and savoury.

Drink : 2023 - 2028

Spring was very wet, after 3 years of drought. Summer was relatively wet, but by March, the weather conditions eased and the Malbec grapes finally fully ripened and were harvested on 16th April. The grapes were all de-stemmed and fermented in open fermenters then lightly pressed at the end of fermentation directly to older French barriques. The wine was matured for a period of 8 months.
