We made this wine for fun from Chardonnay grapes grown at our Cullarin Estate vineyard, located at Lake George. Cullarin is the oldest Canberra District vineyard, established by Dr Edgar Riek in 1971. The vineyard sits at the base of the Cullerin mountain range 750 ASL.

Tasting Notes

This wine has citrus aromas and flavours followed by an intense mineral palate, complex polyphenols that provides structure to the wine. The finish is long and crisp.

Winemaking Notes

The grapes were hand-picked, de-stemmed then fermented on skin. So, this is an "orange wine", with a medium yellow colour. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation, it was pressed into older French oak barriques then aged on fine lees for 6 months, before fining, cold stabilisation, filtration and bottling in November 2023.
